Atlanta, GA (wine and tapas bar on Peachtree St)- Cook ($13-$15hr) & Dishwasher ($13hr)
The restaurant is a wine and tapas bar that features wines from all over the world but focuses on and is inspired by South America's emerging wine culture and sumptuous culinary pairings. Located in Midtown, it provides a comfortable place for friends to commune, date nighters to relax, business professionals to enjoy, locals to socialize and visitors to visit safely. Splendidly decorated, the space is unassuming yet luxurious offering a cozy place to learn about fresh new wines and culturally specific Tapas plates.
The staff are VERY diverse ethnically, culturally, racially, abilities, gender and LGBTQ so the perfect candidate is one who is able to work with and provide professional service to ALL individuals.
The restaurant is located in and shares space with a luxurious office space so PROFESSIONALISM, APPROPRIATE ATTIRE, LANGUAGE AND BEHAVIOR IS A MUST!! A criminal record is ok. However, you cannot have any
REPETITIVE ASSAULT CHARGES

- Both positions are for 1st shift (7a-3p) up to 30 hrs. No weekends.
- Must be able to work in a small space and be a team player.
- FYI: If you drive, please know there is no free parking. Visitor parking in the lot is $10. There is a bus stop across from restaurant. However, if hired and you drive or take the train, there is dedicated parking for employees that charges $120 a month to park. The employer does, however, reimburse you up to $40 to help offset that cost. If you rely on the train, the employer will reimburse you $30 to help offset the $90 monthly cost to ride the train)
DISHWASHER: $13 hr.
Dishwashers are responsible for janitorial and supportive kitchen tasks, such as bussing tables, washing dishes and appliances, emptying trash receptacles, scrubbing floors, restocking items, and performing other tasks to ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are clean and prepared for guests. Dishwashers are responsible tasked with maintaining a clean kitchen, properly washing and sorting soiled dishes, keeping the dish area free of clutter and organized. Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks. Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dish machine, washes and sanitizes all pans, utensils, and dishes. May assist in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed. Requires occasional lifting of heavy pots, pans and filled garbage bags.
COOK: $13 hr-$15 hr

Summary: The Cook is responsible for cooking and preparing food according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures under the direction or the Executive Chef or Lead Cook. The individual should safely handle knives and equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, etc.
Description:
Facilitates daily work assignments and executes tasks to completion.
Cooks and prepares a food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
Safely utilizes a variety of utensils and equipment including knives.
Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods.
Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
Other duties and tasks as assigned by managers.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a cook, as well as proven track record and experience as a cook.
Able to follow instructions and complete tasks with limited instruction or oversight.
Able to mentor staff as needed.
Must be able to obtain or provide food safety certification.
Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
